Calling all builders! Bring your friends and let your imagination run wild. Creations will remain on display at the Library until the Club’s next meeting.

Come add to our Winter Mural before it goes up on display! Come to this collaborative multimedia mural-making session! We will have lots of fun and engaging materials and an inspiring winter backdrop of the city for participants of all ages to add to; it will be displayed at the library afterward. Stay for as long or as short of a time as you like.

Join the Easthampton Public Library Chess Club! The club will start from square one and everyone is welcome–beginner or expert! Learn the real rules and how to use all of your pieces. Study famous games and learn winning strategies to improve your play. Ages 9+ (Children below 9 need to be accompanied by an adult). Space is limited. Between 10am-2pm when you come to the library you can also participate in a winter scavenger hunt, special crafts, and more, all led by our Teen Volunteers! Drop-in anytime in that window.

In this class, led by artist Lisa Hersey of Antler Editions, we will explore different bookbinding techniques that can be recreated at home. Making a book can be as simple as folding one sheet of paper, or involve 16 pages and sewing! Students will learn how to put content into their books for reproducing editions of their work for themselves or to bring to Press On: Indie Publishing Festival! We will have time to work together and create original books by either decorating the covers, or putting words/drawings onto the pages. Come join us for books and playtime! We will gather for songs and stories designed for ages 1-3, but babies, preschoolers, and siblings are all welcome as well. At 11am a craft project will be offered.
