Cynde McInnis of The Whalemobile will present this 1 -hour virtual program. This tale is about one of Cynde’s favorite humpback whales Nile. She was bornin 1987, and Cynde has seen her almost every year since since she has been whale watching (1994)! Cynde will be sharing why Nile’s is her favorite and how scientists study humpbacks (by the patterns on their Tails). We will “virtually” go inside a life-sized model of Nile to learn about how humans and whales are similar! In the end, we will disc uss actions we can take to help protect whales! Based on Alphabreaths by Christopher Willard and Daniel Rechschaffen, we will learn through the alphabet mindful breathing exercises. We will start with the letter A, and work through to Z. Each session will be 13 letters of simple breathing awareness. Registration is required.
On Thursdays, after lunch get comfortable with an afternoon read aloud featuring The Mouse and The Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary. This classic tale follows the adventures of Ralph, the mouse and his friend, Keith. Grab a coloring sheet from the library(curbside) to work on while you listen!
