Come join Emily this summer for weekly family book celebrations. Each week will focus on a different book for us to enjoy together. These gatherings will include an interactive storytime geared for elementary students and their families and then a celebratory project prompted by what we’ve shared. Attend one week or all five! Come and redeem your last reading hours for tickets for the final Summer Reading Raffles! Make sure all earned tickets are entered in raffles for chances to win wonderful prizes. All “finishers” of the program who have read 12 hours or more this summer can enjoy a fabulous popsicle from the one and only Crooked Stick Pops who will be right outside the Youth Department with their popsicle cart!

Renew your love of adventure at the Library! Join us on Mondays this summer for a 5-session D&D series running from July 1 through August 5 (no game 7/8). Can you help refresh a fledgling frontier-town by uncovering a much needed resource? Tread carefully — the vast sands of the Badlands might not be as barren as they seem! Recommended for ages 13-16. In conjunction with the August 17, 2024 performance of Najla Said’s one woman show Palestine at Cityspace, the Library will host a book discussion of Ms. Said’s 2013 memoir Looking for Palestine, moderated by Easthampton Poet Laureate Carolyn Cushing. A limited number of copies of the book are available for check-out at the Library.

Our Monday Night Book Club meets monthly (except twice in January and not in December), on the fourth Monday, from 6:30 – 8 PM. Drop-in. We provide copies of each title for participants to check out. Come relax with friends and BINGO at the end of the school week! Ages 3+

Come join us for books and playtime! We will gather for songs and stories designed for ages 1-3, but babies, preschoolers, and siblings are all welcome as well. At 11am a craft project will be offered.

Come join us for the unforgettable debut novel release of local author, Louangie Bou-Montes! Louangie will be talking about her spooky, swoony YA Contemporary Fantasy, TILL THE LAST BEAT OF MY HEART in conversation with Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé, New York Times Bestselling author of ACE OF SPADES and WHERE SLEEPING GIRLS LIE. The evening will include crafts, cake, and time to chat with the authors. High Five Books will be there selling books from both authors! Recommended for youth and adults ages 12 and up.
