We will gather to discuss selected articles in the New York Times Magazine 1619 Project issue. The first meeting on Monday, November 18th, will be to choose articles and plan December discussions. Registration is strongly suggested, as there are a limited number of magazine copies. 

This form of art is one that can be practiced successfully be everyone, for even if you think you have no drawing skills. It is a method of creating artwork by drawing simple tangles, or patterns, one line at a time. Zentangle isn’t just about drawing. It focuses on the mind, relaxes the body, and builds confidence. Just go slowly and relax. We will supply the materials and you come ready to create. Snacks will be available. Ages 11+

Spirit of the Heart, Martial Arts & Wellness Center will be having a class for kids 3-5 and their awesome adult. Space is limited, registration is required. Call or stop in to register.

Spirit of the Heart-Martial Arts & Wellness Director Nancy Rothenberg will lead a sample class  for young kids (ages 2.5-5) and their adults.  A fun movement class! Space is limited, sign up or give us a call.

Using Scratch, we will  make a name come to life through animation, sound and music. It can be a nickname, the name of a favorite sports team, place, activity or anything else you can think of-use your imagination! Space is limited, registration is required. Ages 7+

The Book Bike will be at the Inn at Lathrop! Librarians will be stationed in the lobby with materials for checkout, to answer library questions, and to register you for a CWMARS library card if you don’t already have one. Stop by and say hi!
