Join children and families who have decorated lanterns and walk with them and the nuns and monks from the NE Peace Pagoda to Nashawannuck Pond where the lanterns will be drawn out across the pond in the traditional ceremony. We will gather at the library at 5:30, where there will be ice cream for children, and then walk together to the pond for the lantern launch which will start at 6pm.

Lisa Bastoni is a Northampton, MA-based singer-songwriter. She is a 2021 New England Music Award nominee (Roots), 2020 & 2019 Boston Music Award Nominee (Folk) and winner of 2019 New Folk at the esteemed Kerrville Folk Festival. In addition to her work in music, Lisa Bastoni is an accomplished visual artist and teacher, with artwork currently on display at Club Passim. She performs regularly with multi-instrumentalist/producer Sean Staples, a fixture on the Boston/Cambridge roots/folk scene. Learn Embodied Mindfulness tools and practices that can be integrated into your daily life to gently guide you back to the present moment. This class includes group singing in English and Sanskrit, breathwork, and gentle movement. Absolutely no singing experience is necessary to benefit from this class, only the willingness to try!

Meet live animals from the Nook–they might even let you feel their scaly skin!
