We will gather to discuss selected articles in the New York Times Magazine 1619 Project issue. The first meeting on Monday, November 18th, will be to choose articles and plan December discussions. Registration is strongly suggested, as there are a limited number of magazine copies. 

The Book Bike will be at the Inn at Lathrop! Librarians will be stationed in the lobby with materials for checkout, to answer library questions, and to register you for a CWMARS library card if you don’t already have one. Stop by and say hi!

Share books, stories, songs, rhymes, and music in a fun interactive program that builds early literacy skills. This program is designed for children birth to 5 years old, accompanied by a favorite adult. Craft and snack, too!

The Library will be CLOSING EARLY at 3pm, to allow staff travel time for the Thanksgiving holiday. We appreciate your understanding.

At this introductory workshop, we’ll help students create free accounts and explain the basics of sprites, costumes, and coding with visual blocks to create engaging, interactive stories. Students will learn to incorporate rich, multimedia into their projects. We will be focusing on the theme Code Your Hero. This workshop is funded by the Public Policy and Advocacy Office of the American Library Association. Ages 7+. Space is limited, registration required.
