The Boston Science Museum visits the Library for the second of TWO SESSIONS of this out-of-this-world workshop. Participants will create an air rocket that launches across the room, and engineer a way for a payload to return safely to Earth. This hands-on workshop explores the science behind rockets and space exploration. Use your imagination to plan, build, and test your own design. Recommended for ages 5-12.

Join Pascommuck Conservation Trust board member Marty Klein on a tour of their award winning Mutter’s Field Accessible Trail, “A Place in Nature for Everyone.” Completed in 2016, the trail has been embraced by the community as a tranquil place to enjoy nature’s beauty and has become one of Easthampton’s “special places.” Participants should meet at the East St. entrance. In the event that lot is full, parking is available along East Green Street. Enter the trail at the end of the street and proceed to the East St. trail head to meet the group.

Ms. Lynne returns this summer for her last ever Story Hours at the Library! Join us for some rockin’ tales, followed, as always, by snack and a fun craft. Recommended for ages 5 & under.

Lois is back with more awesome art projects! Join her each Tuesday during the Summer Reading Program to explore your creative side with open-ended art projects based around building! Recommended for ages 5-12.

This year’s summer performance by our resident youth theater troupe features a rambunctious dinosaur and his frustrated friends, culminating with a valuable lesson on learning to work together.

Pokemon trainers unite! Bring your Pokemon cards to the Library and show off your collection. Assemble a deck to test out against other trainers. Check out Jonathan’s vast collection of cards that began almost 20 years ago! Recommended for ages 8-12.

What does that mean?! Join Moira for our third and final building challenge of the summer. We’ll learn how, using a few basic supplies, we can make artificial hands with moving fingers, just like ours! Recommended for ages 8-12.

It’s coming up — our Build a Better World Adult Summer Reading POTLUCK!! Registration is NOT required to come to the event, but IS required to bring something.
