Build Repair Grow Visioning Meeting
Dec 13 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Build Repair Grow (BRG) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Western Massachusetts that began in February 2020. Build Repair Grow provides young people with training in practical skills critical for developing individual resiliency, problem-solving, and self-sufficiency. They do this through teaching workshops in growing and cooking food, sewing, basic carpentry, and bike repair. Build Repair Grow currently leads programming at Mountain View School through other area partnerships with schools and organizations serving youth.
BRG’s Director, Logan McFadden, will host a visioning meeting for local parents and youth (ages 4th grade and up) to discuss the potential creation of a Tween/Teen Drop In Center in Easthampton. All are invited to share ideas (and snacks!).

Winter Solstice Cookie Swap
Dec 21 @ 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm

On the longest night, we share cookies! Impress your neighbors with your tested favorites, or try a brand new recipe out of one of our baking books. Come snack and bake away the darkness of winter nights at the Easthampton Library Solstice Cookie Swap! Both bakers and ‘taste testers’ are welcome. Beverages and cookie eating supplies will be provided, and there will be a Cookie Decorating Station.

All bakers are asked to commit to bringing a plate of cookies to share and 10 individually portioned ‘go bags’ for others to take home, as well as a printed recipe or ingredient list. If you need assistance printing or scanning your recipe, please indicate this option below.

The library is not responsible for food-borne illness and/or allergic reactions, participants eat cookies at their own risk, and are encouraged to read recipes.

Registration is required for this event, for reasons of cookie supply and capacity. Let us know you’re coming!
