Genealogy Help with Brian

Book a one on one appointment with genealogist Brian Tabor. One appointment available per month. Registration is required! We will stop accepting appointment requests at 6pm the day before each Genealogy Help.

What are some things you can work on during Genealogy Help? Glad you asked! Brian can help you get started on a family tree using the census, vital records, family mementos, and the library’s genealogy resources like Ancestry and Heritage Quest.

Please note: If you are not able to make the listed times, but would still like genealogy help, please email Katya at kschapiro@ewmlibrary.org. She will do her best to accommodate you with an appointment at a different weekday time.

Needle Felted Dragon Hatchlings

Learn how to use felt fabric and needle felting to craft a dragon small enough to fit inside its own plastic egg. You will have your very own pet dragon that’s pocket sized and ready for adventures! Ages 8+, registration is required: stop by the library to sign up or email youthdept@ewmlibrary.org or call 413-527-1031.

TAG Meeting and Duct Tape Wallets!

Nurse’s Hour with Chris Southworth

Christine Southworth, Easthampton’s Public Health Nurse, will be here to review basic health concerns, check blood pressure, and discuss chronic or acute health issues. During this Nurse’s Hour, Christine will also be answering questions related to our display of the UMass Bite Lab, which contains information about mosquitos and ticks.
Baby and Toddler Storytime

Come join us for books and playtime! We will gather for songs and stories designed for ages 1-3, but babies, preschoolers, and siblings are all welcome as well. At 11am a craft project will be offered.

Knitting & Crocheting Group

Fingers flying, knots tying! Do you love to knit or crochet and enjoy good company? Drop in to our informal knitting/crocheting group, which offers an opportunity for adults to get together, bring a project to work on, and have others nearby for advice. Meeting weekly on Mondays.

Please note that this is not a knitting class, but instead an opportunity to share current knitting projects with others, to make new friends, and to learn tips and tricks at the same time.
Monday Night Book Club

Our Monday Night Book Club meets monthly (except twice in January and not in December), on the fourth Monday, from 6:30 – 8 PM. Drop-in. We provide copies of each title for participants to check out.
