Curbside Crafts to GO for Youths!

New! DIY crafts for youths that can be picked up curbside at the front of the library at 2:30-5:30pm. When you arrive just call the library (413-527-1031) and let us know that you are here for Curbside Crafts to Go. Supplies limited to the first 25. No library cards required or pre-registration. Offered 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. Recommended for ages 5 & up.

Earth Day 2021 “Restore Our Earth” Saplings!

Celebrate Earth Day all week! Earth Day is about raising awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and taking action.  Thursday,  April 22nd is Earth Day 2021, the theme is “Restore Our Earth”. We will have White Spruce Saplings for you to pick up curbside starting on Tuesday, April 20th. Plant somewhere safe and special!

4-H Babysitters Basics Class-Virtually on Zoom!
Apr 20 @ 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm

Would you like to learn babysitting skills? Participants will come to understand the responsibilities of babysitting and learn the skills needed to become good babysitters. This workshop will help you to develop confidence in handling situations that may occur when babysitting. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a babysitter’s ID card and a certification of completion. We will provide a 4-H Babysitting manual. You must attend all three days. Registration is required by April 12th. We are sponsoring this course through UMASS. Contact Va Shon Hiltpold to register or for more information at vwallace@umass.edu.

Scribble to Story with Rob!

Join Rob with a hands on virtual program that will help you get started developing your own story! Make a scribble and give it a face. Make a  second scribble and they can have a conversation. Draw a box around them and  you have a scene…draw another box and you have started a comic. In this workshop, we’ll explore character creation and storytelling through sequential images. Spring Family Movie Picks with Popcorn and Treats to Go! Just in time for Spring Break! Curbside Collection on a cart to checkout! We will have Youth Movies for you to choose outside! Stop by to browse, checkout, and take popcorn and treats to enjoy together at home! We might even have a surprise guest helping! Please follow all COVID-19 protocols.

Agate Watercolor Painting with Pop Up Art School!
Apr 29 @ 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Create a beautiful watercolor painting of an agate slice. Learn how to use a wet on wet watercolor technique and salt on wet watercolor paint. This painting is easy and fun to do. In this workshop you will create a striking piece of art to give as a gift or hang on your wall. Materials will be available for pick up for the first the15 participants who register at youthdept@ewmlibrary.org. “This program is supported in part by a grant from the Easthampton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.” ages 10-18.
