Chess Club

Join the Easthampton Public Library Chess Club! The club will start from square one and everyone is welcome–beginner or expert! Learn the real rules and how to use all of your pieces. Study famous games and learn winning strategies to improve your play. Ages 9+ (Children below 9 need to be accompanied by an adult). Space is limited. Family Eclipse Program with Meg Thacher

Come prepare for the eclipse with us! Smith College astronomy professor and science writer for children, Meg Thacher, will be talking with families about the coming eclipse and leading us in an activity to make a pinhole eclipse viewers! Program geared for elementary aged children but siblings and families are welcome. Baby and Toddler Storytime

Come join us for books and playtime! We will gather for songs and stories designed for ages 1-3, but babies, preschoolers, and siblings are all welcome as well. At 11am a craft project will be offered.

Pokemon Club

Come share your love of all things Pokemon with other enthusiasts! Feel free to bring your device to play Pokemon GO, your trading cards to battle and trade, or any of the many handheld video games to play and share with each other. Each meeting of the Club will feature a game to play together on the Library’s Nintendo Switch.

Help us beautify the Youth Department bookshelves with your art! During this new quarterly program, you will have the chance to make something that will then be on display at the library for about three months. Choose either the Wednesday or the Friday session and come ready to create. For this first display the program is recommended for school-aged children and teens, we will be creating with Model Magic; all supplies will be provided. Registration is required, sign up here in person or by calling us at 413-527-1031 or emailing us at youthdept@ewmlibrary.org.
