Calling all builders! Make something cool for our weekly challenge, or just let your imagination run wild. Creations will remain on display at the Library until the Club’s next meeting. Recommended for ages 4 & up.

Your baby will have the opportunity to hear lots of language while you get to know other families with young children. Recommended for ages 0-15 months.

“Adulting 101” is a series of teen-centered programs organized by the Library, meant to delve into important life-skills that students may not be learning in school.

On May 15th the Library will host educators from Junior Achievement of Western Mass, who will lead activities and share tips to help prepare those of us looking to enter into the job market.

Topics will include crucial skills for entering the workforce, reflecting on our skills and work priorities, and building a personal brand through the creation of various job-hunting tools.

So what about once you get the job? JA will return in June to follow up with a workshop on financial literacy, to make the most out of all that money you’re going to start earning. Stay tuned for more details!

Computer classes offered monthly in collaboration with the Easthampton Council on Aging and Enrichment Center. Topics are subject to change at pace with student learning. Laptops provided through the Library for use during class. Held downstairs at the Eastampton Council on Aging. Seats are limited! A special opportunity for housing seekers who are new to conducting online searches for apartments!

Participants for this class will learn how to set up web-based email accounts, conduct searches on current housing websites like Zillow, and submit preliminary MA housing authority applications via the new, web-based CHAMP system. Emily Williston Memorial Library Librarian Stephanie Levine and ECOA Outreach Worker Hayley Wood will team-teach this free class, and laptops will be provided for a maximum of 10 participants.

The class will be held in the ECOA’s basement-level TV room, best accessed via the elevator. Please register with the ECOA by calling 527-6151 x135. Registration deadline: Friday, May 21.
