Artists in Action: Upcycled Tote Bags & Sewing Basics
Sep 16 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Local artist Libby Meehan returns for a deeper look at using a sewing machine — for both artistic and practical purposes. We’ll learn the basics and then put them to use, turning worn clothes and other fabric into a useful and unique tote bag! Bring in your own materials to upcycle, or choose from what Libby has to offer.

This program serves as a primer for our Clothing Alteration and Cosplay workshop, scheduled for September 23rd, which will introduce more advanced topics. While it is not required, please consider attending both workshops in order to get the most out of each.

This program is geared toward teens in grades 7-12, and registration is strongly encouraged.
