Dave Daley Author Talk

David Daley, former Editor-in-Chief of Salon, joins the library on June 14th to talk about his book, Rat F**ked: Why Your Vote Doesn’t CountWith much political and judicial debate around gerrymandering in today’s news cycle, we are thrilled to have the man who wrote the book uncovering the GOP-organized REDMAP program to reshape districts and legislatures in favor of Republican interests. Copies of Daley’s book are available at the library for checkout. Daley will be talking about his book with local author Seth Harwood, answering your questions, and signing books. Join us for tea and coffee to follow.

Over 20 years later, the “fad” that was Pokemon is still going strong, with more ways to engage with the franchise than ever before.

Come share your love of all things Pokemon with other enthusiasts! Feel free to bring your device to play Pokemon GO, you’re trading cards to build decks and battle, or any of the many handheld video games to play and share with each other. As this new club evolves, we may also explore opportunities to watch the anime or play certain console-only games.

HAPPENING INDOORS: Crimson Canary - Local Music Rocks! Concert Series

Please note: This performance will be INDOORS. downstairs in our programming space at the back of the Youth Department. 

FREE and open to all ages. Join us as we welcome Easthampton locals Dave and Lonnie Chu, otherwise known as Crimson Canary, for the first performance of our Local Music Rocks! Concert Series! World guitar & vocals and American vocal jazz.

Happening RAIN or SHINE!! That means that weather permitting, they will take place on the Library Green. Some chairs will be provided but please feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair.

However, in the case of inclement weather — the show must go on! The performance will happen downstairs in our programming space at the back of the Youth Department. If so, we will advertise as such the day of the concert.
