Using Scratch, we will  make a name come to life through animation, sound and music. It can be a nickname, the name of a favorite sports team, place, activity or anything else you can think of-use your imagination! Space is limited, registration is required. Ages 7+

We will gather to discuss selected articles in the New York Times Magazine 1619 Project issue. The first meeting on Monday, November 18th, will be to choose articles and plan December discussions. Registration is strongly suggested, as there are a limited number of magazine copies.

Sumo Bots for TEENS!

Show your Skills in the Ring!

Students learn to create a vehicle that can compete in a SumoBot tournament. Each robot attempts to push the others out of the ring while avoiding falling out. In addition to the coding, students have an engineering challenge to create attachments that can increase the defensive or offensive capabilities of their SumoBot. This workshop develops teamwork and cooperation as well as friendly competition during the tournament! Ages 12+
