Teen Advisory Board!
Jan 13 @ 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm

Teen Advisory Board (“TAB” for short) is a group of teens that meets once a month on ZOOM. The TAB works with library staff to improve events, space, and collection that we offer to teens. Take ownership of these services and help us create the library that you want to see! The TAB is open to any students ages 12 – 18, whether they attend public, private, or home school.  Contact youthdept@ewmlibrary.org

Screening of “Reflections Unheard: Black Women in Civil Rights”
Feb 23 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

To register, visit tinyurl.com/ewml-reflections-unheard

Run time, 81 mins. From the website, reflectionsunheardfilm.com:

“Through the personal stories of several former black female Civil Rights activists, Reflections Unheard: Black Women in Civil Rights unearths the lesser-known story of black women’s political marginalization between the male-dominated Black Power movement, and the predominantly white and middle class Feminist movement during the 1960s and 70s, as well as the resulting mobilization of black and other women of color into a united Feminist movement.

“Reflections Unheard is a feature length documentary, and the first of its kind to focus exclusively on black women’s contributions and experiences during the Civil Rights era.”
