Family Story Time is officially back up and running in the Youth Department! We still have a couple of spots available for this Friday’s event. Each week will have a different in-person signup. There will also be a streamed version available for folks who can’t make it into the Library! Read, be read to, or read to someone! Join us for our SRP at The Emily Williston Memorial Library! Sign up starts Monday, June 27th and runs through August 8th. This Summer is packed with events, programs, special guests, and raffles! All you have to do is register and keep track of your time! Something for everyone! More information will be coming!

What will be looking for and what will we find? Meghan from the Hampden Hampshire Conservation District will lead us through the scavenger hunt! Meet at the library (Youth Department) and we will walk together down to the Manhan Bike Trail to start our scavenger hunt (or meet us at Tandem on the trail). Learn how to make this simple and very cute froggy! This is a beginner project with glue, needles, felt, and thread. We will use a running stitch on precut felt, adding some beans and stuffing, finishing it off with gluing on their eyes. Ages 6+ Limited space, registration required.

Do It Yourself Paper Binoculars. It’s easy! Join us and decorate these unique binoculars any way you want! Made of paper, we will be provide different supplies for you to use to create your own unique pair.  Perfect to use during a backyard exploration, a hiking adventure, or even birding. Registration required, Ages 3+

Our favorite artist, Lois, is back this summer with a fabulous workshop in Adventures in Art! Each week she will present a new form of an art adventure to explore and create. We never know where we will go with Lois Off the Beaten Path! Ages 6+ Registration required

Join wildlife rehabilitator Tom Ricardi for his ever-popular presentation on birds of prey. This program is designed for all ages. Tom will share fascinating facts and information about many different magnificent birds, demonstrate some of their unique behaviors and inspire children of all ages to appreciate, respect and conserve these important members of our wild kingdom. Registration is required.

Tom Ricardi is a licensed rehabilitator and wildlife biologist. He runs Massachusetts Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Center in Conway, MA, and is now retired after 40 years of service as a Massachusetts Environmental Conservation police officer.

Join us and create an unique backpack yourself! We will provide the materials and guide you through step by step. Campers will be sporting their own style  wherever their next adventure takes them! Ages 6-18. Registration required

Build and decorate your own wooden paddle boat, We will provide all the materials for campers to use. Test it out in our water pool!  Ages 5+ Registration required
