Welcome in Fall with this simple recipe using an oat and nut mixture to make a crunchy granola-like topping for apples in this delicious dessert. We will be using the stove top and/or oven. Recipes will be basic but will require use of different utensils and ingredients. Adult supervision is required. Teen Advisory Board (“TAB” for short) is a group of teens that meets once a month on ZOOM. The TAB works with library staff to improve events, space, and collection that we offer to teens. Take ownership of these services and help us create the library that you want to see! Join local artist Dave Wallace (incendavery.com) to learn about their process for creating diary comics, and turn your own life into a work of art! Dave will lead participants through exercises that incorporate free writing, character creation, and scripting, before helping us put it all together into a finished comic. Space is limited for this in-person event, so please contact the Youth Department to register. Recommended for ages 9 and up.

Join the Emily Williston Memorial Library Chess Club! The club will start from square one. Everyone can join. If you are an expert or a beginner, come check it our. Learn the real rules and how to use all of your pieces. Study famous games and learn winning strategies to improve your play. Space is limited. Register at the Youth/Teen Department. Ages 9+ (Children below 9 need to be accompanied by an adult).
