Come enjoy award-winning folk singer songwriter Lisa Bastoni for an acoustic evening. Lisa’s songs have been described as delicate, thoughtful and soul-stirring! We hope to see you there.

Lisa Bastoni is a Northampton, MA-based singer-songwriter. She is a 2021 New England Music Award nominee (Roots), 2020 & 2019 Boston Music Award Nominee (Folk) and winner of 2019 New Folk at the esteemed Kerrville Folk Festival. In addition to her work in music, Lisa Bastoni is an accomplished visual artist and teacher, with artwork currently on display at Club Passim. She performs regularly with multi-instrumentalist/producer Sean Staples, a fixture on the Boston/Cambridge roots/folk scene. Lisa Bastoni has opened for/performed with Lori McKenna, Dar Williams, Regina Spektor, The Secret Sisters, Teddy Thompson, Rose Cousins, Mark Erelli, Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, and many more. CANCELLED: Meat for Tea Author Reading with Christian Livermore

Join us for this special event — A Meat for Tea author reading with Christian Livermore! Christian will read from her debut novel, The Very Special Dead, a spellbinding blend of fable and realism that examines lost love and the ruins of the American Dream. Copies of The Very Special Dead will be available for purchase.

Christian Livermore is a novelist, essayist and short story writer. Christian’s stories and essays have appeared in anthologies and literary journals including Longreads, Santa Fe Writers Project, Salt Hill Journal, The Texas Review, Meat for Tea, and Witch-Pricker. Her memoir in essays, We Are Not Okay, is out now. She has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of St Andrews with an academic focus on medieval English literature and has taught creative writing at Newcastle University and medieval literature at the University of St Andrews.   5. Gain confidence when speaking English
  6. Build life skills useful for seeking medical care, opening bank accounts, job searches and interviews

Classes will meet for one hour twice a week, with flexibility for participants to join once or twice a week as suits their schedule. The schedule can be adjusted to suit the participants’ own schedule needs once the group is formed. 

The initial round of sessions will run for five weeks, beginning Feb 17 & 20. Saturdays will be 10AM-11AM and Tuesdays will be 6PM-7PM.
