Calling all builders! Bring your friends and let your imagination run wild. Creations will remain on display at the Library until the Club’s next meeting.

In this class, led by artist Lisa Hersey of Antler Editions, we will explore different bookbinding techniques that can be recreated at home. Making a book can be as simple as folding one sheet of paper, or involve 16 pages and sewing! Students will learn how to put content into their books for reproducing editions of their work for themselves or to bring to Press On: Indie Publishing Festival! We will have time to work together and create original books by either decorating the covers, or putting words/drawings onto the pages. Ages 12+, participants must be able to hold and handle a needle. Space is limited, sign up at the library in person or by calling us at 413-527-1031 or emailing us at youthdept@ewmlibrary.org.

Our Graphic Novel Book Club meets monthly, on the second Tuesday, from 6:30 – 8 PM. All are welcome to join! Email Anastasia at bookclubs@ewmlibrary.org if you are interested in joining and to request the next book title.

Our Intersectional Speculative Fiction Book Club meets every other month, on the third Tuesday, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. All are welcome to join! Registration is required. Email Elli at bookclubs@ewmlibrary.org if you are interested in joining and to request the next book title.

The Easthampton Council on Aging Book Club meets at the Council on Aging every other month on the third Thursday, from 2 – 3:30pm. We provide copies of each title for participants to check out. Come prepare for the eclipse with us! Smith College astronomy professor and science writer for children, Meg Thacher, will be talking with families about the coming eclipse and leading us in an activity to make a pinhole eclipse viewers! Program geared for elementary aged children but siblings and families are welcome. Registration is recommended–stop by the library, give us a call at 413-527-1031, or send us an email at youthdept@ewmlibrary.org.

Our Monday Night Book Club meets monthly (except twice in January and not in December), on the fourth Monday, from 6:30 – 8 PM. Drop-in. We provide copies of each title for participants to check out.
