Join local artist Dave Wallace (incendavery.com) to learn about his process for creating diary comics, and turn your own life into a work of art! Dave will lead participants through exercises that incorporate free writing, character creation, and scripting, before helping us put it all together into a finished comic. Renew your love of adventure at the Library! Join us on Mondays this summer for a 5-session D&D series running from July 1 through August 5 (no game 7/8). Can you help refresh a fledgling frontier-town by uncovering a much needed resource? Tread carefully — the vast sands of the Badlands might not be as barren as they seem! Recommended for ages 13-16. All ages watercolor evenings will be a relaxing, fun time for anyone of any age to come and participate in. Come alone or with a friend or family or a group–we will have all the supplies and prompts and you’re also free to explore and use the materials in your own way. Come join us for a lovely time!

We are delighted to have theater teacher, Heidi Haas, join us for this series! Every workshop includes warm-up exercises, scene work, and theater games. The workshop introduces the value of using drama to express feelings, playfully solve problems, and encourages children to challenge themselves and participate as fully as they feel comfortable. Team building and creating a sense of safety are integral parts of the process and draw on the strengths of the students to foster a sense of pride in what they can accomplish as a group.
